Museum Information
The Salt Museum has just been awarded a quality mark for the Visitor Attraction Quality Assurance Service.
Participating attractions are assessed by an unannounced visit, which takes place at any time when the attraction is open to the public. The assessor will sample all aspects of the 'Visitor experience', from initial telephone enquiries to departure. They will use all facilities and sample activities such as guided tours, demonstrations, or film shows, as well as catering, retail and toilet facilities.
Only those attractions which have been assessed by the English Tourist Council and meet the standard receive the quality marque.
